How to use Grok Bots

Choose one job, import a Bot, and try a small task. Every detail page includes what to prepare, specific steps, a copyable prompt, and a checklist for the result.

Importing a shared Bot gives you its configuration. You still supply your own project context and sign-ins.

  4. Run one concrete task

Copy the example prompt from the Bot's detail page, replace the bracketed values, and send it in that Bot's conversation. Include your inputs, scope, desired output, and review point. Check the returned files or sources and ask for any missing evidence.

  5. Repeat what works

Once the result is useful, ask the Bot to save the workflow as a skill or create a routine with an explicit schedule and timezone. Check the next run and use Test run. Open View conversation details → Routines to inspect, edit, or pause the job.

The editorial filter

Built around a developer's day.

The official marketplace listed 69 public Bots on September 5, 2026. We selected 15 with a clear role in building software, evaluating ideas, or bringing a developer product to market.

Useful work, with a concrete output

A reviewable PR, a sourced brief, an implementation spec, or an actionable product decision.

Transparent editorial ratings

5/5: a direct, well-defined development or product workflow. 4/5: a useful supporting or specialized workflow. Editor's Picks offer starting points across common jobs. Ratings assess documented fit, not measured performance.

Grok Bots, explained

What is the Grok Bot Marketplace?

It is the official catalog of public Grok Bot templates. A template describes a specialized job and may include memories, skills, routines, or integrations. This directory selects templates relevant to building, researching, and shipping software.

Which Grok Bots should a developer try first?

Start with the task you already have: tinkabot for API plugins, Nightly Audit Engineer for repository maintenance, Researchy for sourced research, or Product Idea Stress Test for investigating a product idea. Our picks reflect documented workflow fit; we have not run these templates as benchmarks.

Are these Grok Bots free to use?

Public listings can be browsed without importing a Bot. Running one requires a Grok Bot account with eligible access and may involve plan usage limits or separately authenticated services. Check the current access and pricing on the official Grok Bot page before importing.

What is the difference between a Bot, a skill, a routine, and an integration?

The Bot is the teammate assigned a job. A skill is a reusable playbook for doing work. A routine defines when work runs. An integration connects an external app or service; plugins can package tools and skills. The exact pieces included vary by template.

What do the ratings and verification dates mean?

Ratings are our editorial assessment of the documented fit for developers: 5/5 means a direct, well-defined development or product workflow; 4/5 means a useful supporting or more specialized workflow. Editor's Picks are starting points across common jobs. Last verified is the date we checked the public listing, not a hands-on test or a guarantee of runtime performance.

Why are some official categories different from your filters?

Our filters group Bots by the work a developer would use them for. For example, Researchy is listed under Engineering officially, while we place it in Research. Each detail page preserves the official category alongside our developer-focused grouping.
