1. Who We Are

AI IDE List is a curated directory for AI IDEs, coding agents, editor extensions, web app builders, code review tools, and developer workflow resources. You can browse most public pages without creating an account.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the site:

• Basic usage data: Pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location, device/browser details, timestamps, and diagnostic data generated by browsers, hosting infrastructure, analytics tools, or security logs.
• Account data: If you sign in, we store account details such as name, email address, profile image, role, session identifiers, authentication provider details, and the tokens needed to maintain sign-in.
• Submitted content: If you create, edit, or submit directory entries, blog content, tags, media, or API content, we process the content and related metadata you provide.
• Uploaded files: Authorized upload features may store images, SVGs, GIFs, or videos, plus filename, MIME type, size, storage key, public URL, usage type, uploader, and timestamps.
• Support and contact data: If you email us, we receive your email address, message content, attachments, and any information needed to respond.
• API and admin data: Authorized API and admin features may store API key metadata, permissions, usage counts, audit logs, IP address, user agent, actor email, and content change history.

3. Cookies, Analytics, and Ads

We use cookies, local storage, web beacons, pixels, and similar browser technologies for sign-in sessions, site operation, consent records, analytics, and advertising when those services are enabled.

• Authentication cookies: Keep you signed in and protect account/admin workflows.
• Consent and preference storage: Records the privacy choices you make so supported Google tags can respect them on later visits.
• Google Analytics: When configured, helps us understand page usage, referrals, search demand, and content performance. With analytics storage denied, Google Consent Mode may send cookieless measurements; after an applicable consent signal grants analytics storage, it may also use cookies or device identifiers. Analytics may process page URLs, interactions, timestamps, approximate location, browser/device information, and IP address.
• Google AdSense: When configured, third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers as a result of ad serving. Google's advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

For visitors in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and other supported regions, we use Google's certified Consent Management Platform and IAB TCF signals when the advertising service is enabled. Google's message lets you consent, decline, manage purposes and vendors, and later reopen your choices through the "Privacy & cookie settings" link when it is available. Google Consent Mode v2 keeps analytics and advertising storage denied until an applicable consent signal allows it.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Operate, secure, and debug the site, APIs, and admin tools.
• Publish and maintain accurate AI tool listings, comparisons, articles, categories, images, and translated pages.
• Authenticate users, manage sessions, assign roles, and protect administrative access.
• Review submissions, correct errors, moderate content, and keep an audit trail of content changes.
• Measure site performance, understand which resources are useful, and improve navigation and editorial coverage.
• Respond to contact requests, partnership inquiries, correction reports, and security concerns.

5. When We Share Information

We do not publish private account or contact information as part of the public directory. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the site, including:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers: The application is designed for Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2, and KV, which may process request logs, database records, cache data, and uploaded assets.
• Authentication providers: If you choose Google sign-in, Google processes your authentication request under its own privacy terms.
• Analytics and advertising providers: Google and participating certified vendors or ad networks may process usage, consent, cookie, device, IP-address, identifier, impression, and advertising data when enabled. Their own privacy policies and opt-out tools apply to their processing.
• Legal and safety disclosures: We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce these terms, to protect users, or to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or harmful activity.

6. Public Content and External Links

Directory entries and articles often include public product information, third-party links, logos, screenshots, pricing notes, privacy notes, and vendor claims. External websites have their own privacy practices. Review those policies before sending proprietary code, personal information, or confidential business data to any listed tool.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the site, maintain content history, secure accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and preserve audit records. Public directory and article content may remain online until unpublished, archived, or deleted through our editorial process.

8. Your Choices

You may browse public pages without signing in. You can use our Google privacy message or the "Privacy & cookie settings" link to grant, refuse, or withdraw supported consent choices; control cookies and local storage in your browser; manage Google ad personalization through Google Ad Settings; or stop using account features by signing out. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

9. Legal Bases and Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, we process information based on consent, performance of a contract or requested service, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, measuring, and improving the site. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; withdraw consent; appeal a privacy decision; or opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. Advertising-related sharing may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state laws.

10. Security

We use role-based access, authenticated admin routes, API key permissions, audit logs, and infrastructure security controls to protect the site. No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so avoid sending sensitive code, secrets, passwords, private keys, or confidential files through contact email or public submission workflows.

11. Children

AI IDE List is intended for developers and technology researchers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as the site, integrations, or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date above shows when this page was last revised.
