How to launch a developer tool on DevHunt

DevHunt separates permanent directory inclusion from its weekly launch competition. Use the free listing for a product presence; choose a paid launch if you want to enter a specific week. The official Submit action opens the login page.

Free listing or weekly launch?

The free entry is permanent and uses a nofollow link. A $19 launch adds a chosen launch week, newsletter inclusion, and a dofollow link. The $49 boosted option adds tie-breaking priority and a separate X post.

A regular launch can be upgraded during its week by paying the difference. Before choosing a date, make time to respond to technical questions and gather actionable feedback.

Does your product fit DevHunt?

DevHunt is for developer tools: APIs, SDKs, IDEs, CLIs, frameworks, testing and DevOps tools, developer AI agents, and MCP tools. General consumer products do not fit that scope. Voting and commenting require GitHub or Google login.

Make the developer use case explicit. An API example, editor screenshot, or short command-line demonstration can explain the product more clearly than a broad productivity claim.
