Keep a long task moving away from your desk
Tactic Remote is a remote control layer for agents running on your development machine. It is useful when a task pauses for a decision, finishes a test run, or needs a follow-up prompt while you are elsewhere. The mobile app does not supply the model or move repository execution onto the phone.
Connect and answer one real request
- Install the iPhone or iPad app and the appropriate companion from the official downloads.
- Install and sign in to a supported coding agent on the host, then start its companion service.
- Pair the device using the documented local connection flow, or bind the host and enable Relay for remote access.
- Open a project session, run a small task, and inspect its output or diff before sending a response.
For a first test, remain near the host so you can compare the mobile session with the terminal directly.
Check the host before leaving
Confirm that the machine will remain awake and that the intended connection method works. Relay encrypts terminal and file transfers end to end; it does not replace the selected agent's own model connection. Start a separate conversation when you need a different agent, because conversations retain their selected agent and context.
Model support & data privacy
Privacy & data handling
Agent processes and credentials remain on the host. Relay protects terminal and file traffic with end-to-end encryption. Optional cloud speech uploads audio when selected.
