How to use Startup QA Bot

Walk through a few product screens using a dedicated test account.

An AI IDE List walkthrough based on the linked template. These are suggested tasks and review criteria, not results from a hands-on test.

First, add this Bot

Open the official Startup QA Bot template , choose Import Bot, and finish adding it in the Grok Bot app. Open its conversation, then follow the workflow below. If you have not set up the app, follow our installation and connection guide .

What to prepare

  • The product URL, screens to inspect, and expected behavior.
  • A dedicated test account and browser profile, signed in without sharing passwords in this form.
  • Disposable test data and a test inbox if sign-in verification requires email.
  1. Complete QA setup

Run qa-setup in the imported Bot. Confirm the product and test account, then check that setup completed before the first walk.

  2. Check the active account

Verify the dedicated browser profile before opening the product. Stop if it is signed into your personal account or a customer's account.

  3. Walk the selected screens

Inspect the agreed journey without changing real data. Keep checks non-destructive and ask for help when access prevents a check.

  4. Review changes and bugs

Ask for screenshots and reproduction steps, then decide which findings need follow-up. Treat the first walk as a baseline.

Prepare your first task

Fill in your project details. Values stay in this page and are cleared when you leave. Use file names or links; connect accounts in Grok Bot.

Fields left to replace: 4. You can also edit the bracketed values after copying.

What you should get

Use this checklist to review the first result and request anything missing.

  • Screens checked and any access blockers.
  • A baseline or changes since the last walkthrough, with evidence.
  • Copy-ready bug reports and decisions that need the product owner.

For the next run

After reviewing the first walk, confirm the time zone, weekday schedule, and test account before enabling morning-product-walk.

If the first run gets stuck

If the wrong account is active, stop and correct the dedicated browser session. If setup is incomplete, return to qa-setup before scheduling runs.
