Researchy
Created by Farzad
Investigate questions with live web search and return dated, sourced findings.
Our developer take
Checking technical claims
Use it before committing to an unfamiliar API or infrastructure choice. Ask one bounded question, specify which official documentation matters, and request a separation between documented behavior, community reports, and unresolved assumptions.
A practical first workflow
How to use Researchy
Answer one technical decision question with dated primary sources.
An AI IDE List walkthrough based on the linked template. These are suggested tasks and review criteria, not results from a hands-on test.
First, add this Bot
Open the official Researchy template, choose Import Bot, and finish adding it in the Grok Bot app. Open its conversation, then follow the workflow below. If you have not set up the app, follow our installation and connection guide.
What to prepare
- One question and the decision it should inform.
- Candidate tools or official documentation URLs, plus your constraints.
- Access to complete the Grok CLI device-auth flow when requested.
Finish research-tool authentication
Ask Researchy to check its Grok CLI setup. Complete the device-auth flow it presents before requesting the first live research pass.
Bound the question
Specify the candidates, deployment context, and must-have behavior. Define a date window when freshness matters.
Request a sourced comparison
Ask for primary documentation links and dates for each key claim. Separate documented behavior from inference and community reports.
Resolve the decision gap
Open the decisive sources yourself. Ask for a small validation experiment for any requirement the public documentation does not settle.
First-run example
Replace every [BRACKETED_VALUE] with your details, attach the required files, then send this in the Bot's conversation.
Research whether [OPTION_A] or [OPTION_B] better fits a background-job queue for [PROJECT_CONTEXT]. Requirements: [RETRY_BEHAVIOR], [EXPECTED_LOAD], and [HOSTING_CONSTRAINTS]. Check the current official documentation and state the date checked. Return a comparison of supported behavior with source links, the most important tradeoff, and unresolved questions. Separate documented facts from your inference. Propose one small test for the least certain requirement.
What you should get
Use this checklist to review the first result and request anything missing.
- A comparison with dated sources attached to consequential claims.
- A recommendation tied to your stated requirements.
- Unresolved questions and a concrete validation experiment.
For the next run
Ask a follow-up about one unresolved requirement, retaining the original constraints and source standard.
If the first run gets stuck
If live research stalls at authentication, complete the device flow and retry. Ask it to label unavailable sources instead of substituting an unsourced answer.
What the template includes
Official sourceSummarized from the public listing. The labels below describe capabilities; exact installed skill and connector names are not always published.

Research · Fact checking
Routines
Research runs on request; no recurring schedule documented.
What to consider
Follow the source links for decisions that matter. A sourced answer can still overlook a version constraint or contradict another source.
